This, Instead Of Reels
In the time it takes to make a one-minute reel, I built a whole website instead. Make of that what you will.
Everyone else is making 15-second reels. I'm out here writing markdown files for a website approximately six people will visit.
Here's the thing nobody tells you about building your own corner of the internet in 2026: it takes a stupid amount of time for a stupidly small audience. A reel takes a minute to make and can reach a million people. This website takes hours and mostly reaches me, at 1am, rereading my own notes.
And yet — here I am. Still doing it. Because apparently I'd rather spend an evening writing about half-formed thoughts on Sikh philosophy and AI than lip-syncing to a trending sound.
If you're reading this, you're probably thinking what I sometimes think: this guy might genuinely be out of his mind. Correct. Welcome.
